If you need to borrow any library materials for the holidays, vacation borrowing has already started and most items will now be due back on Wednesday 25th April.

If you are in Swansea over the vacation, the opening hours are on our website. Please note we are open for self-service only over the Easter weekend (6th-9th April) from 8am to 4pm. If you are going home and would like to use the library of your local university, ask at the Issue Desk here before you leave about the SCONUL Access scheme or any of the other reciprocal borrowing schemes that exist.

You can also access a vast array of information over the web – for this you will need to set the Athens cookie on the computer you are using, then use your Swansea University Athens username and password which are your full Swansea University email address and password. Information on Athens can be found on the library website.

E-Books

We have an ever-increasing collection of e-books which can be found via the library catalogue. Search on a general term (e.g. marketing, finance etc.) and then apply the Format options for “On-line” and “Book” listed on the left-hand side of the screen. Or we have tagged some collections of e-books:

Business e-books

Finance e-books

Marketing e-books

Journal Articles

To search for a specific journal article, use iFind Research and enter the surname of the author and a few words from the title of the article (not the title of the journal) in the box on the left “Something from a Reading List or Bibliography”. You can view a short video on this here.

To look for journal articles on a topic, use iFind Research and select “Find Something on a topic or subject”. Select either “Business and Management” or “Economics” and then enter some search terms. A “Full Text” button will appear beside those results where you can access the full text article. You can view a short video on this here.

We also have subscriptions to key Business databases EBSCO Business Source Complete, Mintel (market research) and Fame (UK & Irish Company data).  There are short videos on how to use these here.

Other E-Resources

Our library website has information on other e-resources available to you such as newspaper databases or theses.
